An examination of Highlands real estate shows that sales are up. Recently released data on the real estate tracking website Trulia shows that prices for Highlands homes are also up, great news for our local economy and sellers alike. While real estate headlines around the nation are becoming more and more positive the effect is definitely being seen here.
Trulia is currently posting data for the three week period of May 8th through May 29th and the news is exceptional. Sales volume for Highlands real estate is up 83.3% compared with the same three week period a year ago and the average price per square foot is up an amazing 324.3%. The increase in price is no doubt skewed by the incredibly low number of homes that sold a year ago and the likelihood that the homes sold were distressed, but nonetheless the news is encouraging.
