Home inspection issues often arise in Highlands real estate transactions.  When issues arise there is often a need for specialists to be called upon.  Specialists are trained in the issue at hand and further examine the suspected issue.  The home inspection is an important contingency in a contract to purchase a Highlands home for sale.  A home is a big investment and understanding its condition is critical.

Examples of issues with Highlands NC homes that may require a specialist include foundational issues, landscape questions, the presence of toxic substances, insect damage, or septic system problems.  If windows and doors are sticky or not closing properly a structural engineer may required to determine if the problem is structural.  Likewise an arborist may be called upon to determine if large trees close to a home may be resulting in roots causing issues with the foundation, irrigation, or septic system.   If an issue is suspected by a home inspector it is always better to have a thorough diagnosis.
