Highlands NC focuses on turtles next Monday. The Highlands Plateau Audubon Society (HPAS) is often thought of with regards to birds but Monday, August 29th, at 7 pm the discussion will be about turtle conservation. One of the greatest aspects of life in the Highlands area is that there is always something to learn about our natural environment and the plants and animals that call it home.
“Turtle Conservation” will be presented by HPAS president Russ Regnery at the Hudson Library. This interesting conversation will be followed by a a mixer at 7:00 p.m. The HPAS offers a plethora of interesting programs throughout the year. The topics for September includes migration, bird watches, and a film, to name a few. Click here to learn more about HPAS.
