Highlands NC Art Showcases Environmental Awareness
Highlands NC art showcases environmental awareness. Right now the eco-art installation “How Many Trees?” is on display in front of the Old Edwards Inn in Downtown Highlands NC. This unique, contemporary exhibit is thought provoking and perhaps even inspiring. The art installation is indicative of the creativity that exists in the Highlands area as well as its importance in the community.
“How Many Trees?” is constructed of used office paper collected from business in Highlands NC, including the Old Edwards properties. The installation will be on display through July 20th, coming down with the first rainfall after its completion. The process of the sculpture’s creation will be on site as a video. The exhibit is also available to see at the website www.AnnaGNorton.com/HowManyTrees. The environment and its protection is important in the Highlands NC area. After all, it is largely the natural environment that attracts people to the area in the first place.
