Highland NC Home Will Become Part of Treasured Quilt Trail on April 27
A Highlands NC home will become part of the treasured Heritage Quilt Trail on April 27. The dedication will honor the history and beauty of American quilt making. This will be the first installment for Highlands NC and Macon County on the Quilt Trail. This is an honor not to be missed. On April 27, the quilt block will be installed on the side of the original Cabe house at 1940 Turtle Pond Road in Highlands NC at 11 am.
What is the Heritage Quilt Trail?
The Heritage Quilt Trail combines history and art by celebrating the beauty of American quilting. History is preserved through the hanging of large panels that have real quilt panels painted on them. These panels are hun on the side of homes and barns across the Heritage Quilt Trail. The installation of such panels are to be celebrated. These quilt blocks can be found in every state.
