Highlands real estate data shows that home values in the area continue to rise. While the number of homes selling is not on the rise the price is, which is great news to many would-be sellers. Of course buyers can still find great value and are aided by the fact that jumbo rates continue to remain lower than those of conforming loans.
The real estate tracking website Trulia.com is currently displaying data for the three week period of October 16th through November 6th. The average price per square foot for Highlands homes during this time period is up 10.9% compared with a year ago, an impressive increase in home values. Highlands NC real estate benefits greatly from location and the fact that many of the higher end homes were never in the precarious position of having to be sold during the recession.
